Katrina Schneider spent several years learning the craft of ceramics at a ceramics school in Germany. She is currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and has her own studio in the 15th district, which she prefers to call her laboratory. And that's no coincidence, as she experiments with raw materials there, developing thick, foaming glazes in unusual colors. When spinning on the wheel, her focus is on the individual form of each piece and, following the Japanese concept of "Wabi Sabi," on the imperfection of an object, which in turn makes it perfect.
